Our Exciting New Program

This gorgeous, ancient planet, the platform for all life, is herself struggling. There are massive changes to all our systems needed if we are going to restore natural vibrancy, and often those changes feel overwhelming and sometimes even frightening. We at InterGenerate think that what's next for us here in Northern Westchester, could be even more beautiful than the life we're leaving behind, and we're hoping you'll join us. 

One of the largest strains on our planet is our food system. We've become accustomed to having whatever we want whenever we want it, but that model isn't sustainable. Unfortunately, we've institutionalized that vision so well, we've nearly lost our ability to feed ourselves without that massive food chain. Over the next few years, InterGenerate is joining the movement to educate and empower our neighborhoods to grow our own food and encourage our local eco-system to thrive. 

We are doing this by making it easy for anyone with even the smallest piece of property to use what we have to grow food and/or pollinator gardens. We'll send you a consultant who we will pay ourselves, to help you figure out what's possible. We'll then send you a farmer you can hire to do the work and a very reasonable price, and if you need help with the cost, we'll do our best using some grant money to help you to make it happen.

Because lawns are unsustainable and harmful, it is our hope that you will let us help you transform portions of your lawn by planting fruit trees with small pollinator gardens around them.
