Executive Director
Douglass "Digs" DeCandia
I am grateful and honored to step into the role of Executive Director of InterGenerate, having been asked by Roseanne and Peggy to steward and support new community agriculture projects in Westchester and across the country. I am an ecological farmer by training, a gardener in spirit and a poet. In 2009 I graduated from Warren Wilson College with a degree in sustainable agriculture and 3 years experience on the vegetable farm crew. I then moved back home to New York to begin my agricultural journey up here...from managing a small organic vegetable farm to working with the County Food Bank as a grower and educator, back to farm management, and now, for the last 5 years, building and planting gardens and food forests with communities working to re-gain food security.
